What stays on your device
By default, your patterns, projects, counters, markings, notes, journal photos, and settings are stored locally in your browser.
Madejas does not upload this information to its own servers.
Google Drive
Connecting Google Drive is optional. If enabled, Madejas stores project backups in a
KnitPatternReader folder in your own Google Drive.
Madejas requests permission only for files it creates. It cannot browse or modify the rest of your Drive.
Cloudflare securely stores the authorization session needed to maintain the connection, along with your Google account email. Disconnecting Google Drive removes this session, but does not delete files already saved in your Drive.
Ravelry
Connecting Ravelry is optional. It allows Madejas to search your library and import available pattern PDFs.
Cloudflare securely stores the authorization session needed to maintain the connection, along with your Ravelry username. Disconnecting Ravelry removes this session.
Imported patterns become local Madejas projects. Disconnecting Ravelry does not delete them.
Essential cookies
Madejas uses essential session cookies when you connect Google Drive or Ravelry. These cookies exist only to keep those optional connections working.
There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
What Madejas does not do
Madejas does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling. It does not sell or share your personal information.
Hosting
Madejas and its connection services are hosted using Cloudflare. Google Drive and Ravelry process information according to their own privacy policies when you use those optional services.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual local projects inside Madejas. If a project was backed up to Google Drive, deleting it locally does not delete its Drive copy.
To remove everything stored locally, clear Madejas’s site data in your browser settings.
To remove Drive backups, delete the KnitPatternReader folder from Google
Drive.
You can remove stored connection sessions by disconnecting Google Drive and Ravelry from Madejas’s settings.
